I am a natural born British Subject having been born at
Twickenham in England, in the year 1869.
4. I am not the agent or solicitor of the applicant Raymond
Menashin Joseph.

5. The said Raymond Menashih Joseph has to my knowledge
resided in the Colony of Hongkong since the year 1899 when
I first became acquainted with him down to the month of
October 1915 when he left Hongkong for Shanghai as stated in
paragraph 2 of his Memorial - To the best of my knowledge
information and belief the residence of the said Raymond
Menashin Joseph was continuous from the time I first knew
him in the year 1899, down to the month of October 1915,
excepting a few periods of time hereinafter more particularly
stated when to the best of knowledge information and belief
the said Raymond Menashih Joseph was away from Hongkong on short business or pleasure visits to Shanghai, Singapore, Japan,
the United States of America and England
The Excepted periods to the best of my knowledge information
and belief are as follows:

The said Raymond Menashin Joseph left Hongkong in the month
of May 1906 for San Francisco in the United States of America
and arrived in San Francisco about six months later to that
date and stayed there for about 4 months and the said Raymond Menashih Joseph returned to Hongkong in October of the same
year being absent from the said Colony for about 6 months.
The said Raymond Menashin Joseph left Hongkong in the
month of September 1911 for Japan and arrived in Japan about
10 days later to that date and stayed there for about a month
and the said Raymond Jenashih Joseph returned to Hongkong in
the month of November 1911 being absent from the said Colony
for about 3 months.
